We were in Thailand for 3 weeks (which was probably too long for our tastes and plans)
7-11s are every couple blocks, and we easily spent a third of our money there (actually had good snacks)
Stray dogs are everywhere
Temples are everywhere and always are decorated with some gold
The people where ugly platform shoes
So many coffee shops - huge coffee culture
Cheap massages are everywhere
Hot flight attendants (clearly this is Josh's contribution to the list)
They sleep on the job
Internet shops are still everywhere
Calculators, not price tags, are used to show prices
When eating at a restaurant, don't expect your food together. Meals come out at different times. Sometimes with such a lag the other person is done eating.
We never felt completely connected with Thailand. Looking back, we had a LOT of fun times and did MANY cool things. But it fell flat of our expectations and we never really got a great feeling about the environment. I don't wish to rush back.
